How do I recover crypto from my OpenBazaar account?
OpenBazaar was an open-source project that created a protocol for e-commerce transactions in a completely decentralized marketplace.
On January 15, 2021, the OpenBazaar Team announced that their servers would be shutting down.
Thankfully, the OpenBazaar wallet was a non-custodial wallet that generated a 12-word passphrase using the BIP39 standard. Coin Wallet is compatible with this standard.
How do I recover crypto from my OpenBazaar account?
1. To recover your bitcoins from the OpenBazaar wallet, you must first open an existing Coin Wallet account with your 12-word OpenBazaar wallet passphrase.
2. Then, select Bitcoin.
3. Navigate to the "Derivation path" page.
4. Enter m/44'/0'/0' into the P2PKH input and press the "Save" button.
Your bitcoins are now ready for use.
For other coins, use the following derivation paths:
- Litecoin: m/44'/1'/0'
- Bitcoin Cash: m/44'/145'/0'
