How to Migrate from Cozy Wallet to Coin Wallet: a Short Guide

Mila Mostovaya

Cozy Wallet is an interesting wallet because it unites custodial and self-custodial solutions. This means regular crypto users might face issues when transferring their assets from one wallet to another. Read this article if you want to avoid difficulties during migration and stay safe with your crypto.

Step 1. How to Find a Seed Phrase in Cozy Wallet

Since the wallet has two sides — custodial and self-custodial — you first need to switch to the self-custodial side in order to migrate. To do this, go to your profile and select Web3 wallet — it is the non-custodial version of Cozy Wallet. After that, a new screen will open and you will see your wallet.

Now go to the Settings section (the gear symbol at the bottom of the screen), tap your wallet, and choose the Seed Phrase section. Click to view the seed phrase, enter your password, and write it down on paper.

That is all! You are ready to migrate 💸

Step 2. How to Transfer Your Assets to Coin Wallet

Now open the Coin Wallet app, choose “Open existing wallet,” and enter your seed phrase in the designated field. Confirm the action and set a PIN for quick access.

Crypto addresses are matched, and you do not have to deal with any inconveniences. However, if you are still having problems, please contact support@coin.space.

Step 3. How to Keep Your Cryptocurrency Wallet Safe

There are three important rules for storing crypto. We highly recommend following them, because your coins are your responsibility.

  1. Store your seed phrase or passphrase in a reliable place: a safe, a locker, or under the pillow 😅
  2. Do not show it to other people and do not post it on the Internet.
  3. Use all security tools that your wallet provides: set a PIN code, enable 2FA, Face ID, and other options.
