How to migrate from Gem Wallet?
To migrate your bitcoins from Gem Wallet, simply log in to your existing Coin Wallet account by entering the 12-word secret recovery phrase from Gem Wallet. If you have forgotten your phrase, you will no longer be able to see it in the Gem Wallet.
Done! Bitcoins are now spendable.
Derivation paths
Because Ethereum and other coins follow different derivation paths than the defaults, one more setting must be made.
1. Select Ethereum.
2. Go to the "Derivation Path" page.
3. Enter m/44'/60'/0'/0/0 and click the "Save" button.
For other coins, you should use the following paths:
- Arbitrum: m/44'/60'/0'/0/0
- Avalanche: m/44'/60'/0'/0/0
- Binance Smart Chain: m/44'/60'/0'/0/0
- Polygon: m/44'/60'/0'/0/0
- TRON: m/44'/195'/0'/0/0
