How to Trade on DEX: Coin Wallet's Tutorial

Recently, we launched Coin Wallet's perpetual futures decentralized exchange (DEX). This means we use an order book + on-chain settlements — that is, it is similar to a centralized exchange in terms of mechanics, but with the advantages of decentralization: transactions and settlements are carried out through smart contracts.
A perpetual DEX is a decentralized exchange where perpetual futures are traded. These are contracts where you can open longs (betting on growth) and shorts (betting on decline) with leverage, but they have no expiration date — you can hold the position for as long as you want.
On Coin Wallet DEX, you can trade futures with leverage of up to 100x and earn on both the rise and fall of cryptocurrency.
In this article, we're going to show you how to trade on Coin Wallet's DEX.
Step 1. Set up the Coin Wallet app
Download the app from the official website, App Store, or Google Play Store. Then, tap Create New Wallet and follow the instructions on the screen.

Step 2. Connect your wallet to our DEX
Open Coin Wallet DEX and tap the Connect Wallet button.

Next, you have two options: connect your Coin Wallet created in the previous step, or connect another wallet. For example, it can be MetaMask or other browser wallet extensions, which will automatically appear in the list of available connections.

To select the wallet, tap WalletConnect and choose the wallet you want from the All Wallets list, or scan the QR code with your phone.

Step 3. Log in to your wallet
Now log in to your wallet in the web version and tap Open.

If you use Coin Wallet, go to the app’s Settings, select WalletConnect → Scan QR Code.

Then confirm signature requests in the app to create an account on the DEX.

You will see the process on your screen.

That’s all — the connection will be completed! To start trading, first make a deposit, and then begin trading 💚
