Avalanche address example
Avalanche C-Chain supports only one original address type. An Avalanche address is a 42-character hexadecimal address created from the last 20 bytes of the account's public key, with 0x appended at the start. The presence of capital letters in an Avalanche address indicates that it contains a checksum (EIP55). As a result, you may prefer the checksummed address version, though both will work just fine.
Some examples of Avalanche addresses:
- 0x09383137c1eee3e1a8bc781228e4199f6b4a9bbf
- 0x95f0895C76967fE8A3c1dA3c9b53e8bb31C91073 (checksum)
You can get AVAX or ARC20 tokens by sharing your Avalanche address. Just make sure to double-check all address letters and numbers before confirming the transaction.
